Claire Slater
Claire is an experienced business leader with over 20 years’ experience building, scaling, and advising businesses across the UK and Asia, including London, Hong Kong, and China.
With strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to quickly understand complex business and funding requirements, Claire plays a central role in shaping how opportunities are positioned and presented. She works closely with founders and management teams to refine business plans, develop strategy, and ensure opportunities are clear, credible, and fundable.
At Bluespot Capital, Claire leads the strategic and commercial direction of the business. Her role spans business planning, funding strategy, and overall positioning, as well as drawing on a broad international network developed through years of operating across multiple markets and sectors.
Claire is known for her clear thinking and practical, structured approach. She works collaboratively with clients, challenging assumptions where needed and supporting them through high-stakes funding decisions with calm judgement and focus.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys running, cycling, walking her cocker spaniel, exploring design and interiors, and discovering great food — often combining more than one of these where possible.

Anthony Beck
Anthony Beck brings over two decades of experience in raising finance, building investor relationships, and scaling businesses.
He began his investment journey in 2004 while securing funding to expand his own chain of veterinary hospitals — starting with angel investors and progressing to institutional lenders. Since then, Anthony has built a strong personal network of high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional capital providers.
Anthony is known for his strategic mindset, sharp commercial judgement, and deep understanding of investor expectations. He has successfully raised finance across a range of sectors and advised business owners on how to position their businesses to attract investment.
At Bluespot Capital, Anthony is responsible for introducing lenders and investors and supporting funding processes through to completion. He draws on both his experience and network to help clients access capital for projects including hotel acquisitions, energy initiatives, and large-scale property developments.
Alongside his work at Bluespot, Anthony remains a partner at the Animal Medical Centre and continues to practise as a veterinary surgeon. Outside work, he is a family man and can often be found training for half-Ironman triathlons or stand-up paddleboarding off the coast of Lantau Island.
